L'Escala is located to the south of the Gulf of Roses, on the regional border with the Baix Empordà, just two kilometers from the famous ruins of Empúries. The municipality still retains all the charm of the old town, outlined by a unique promenade and beaches with as much personality as Montgó, where the famous defense tower of the same name is located.
