Property location information

Barcelona North Coast - Cabrils

The charming settlement of Cabrils is located between the municipalities of Vilassar de Mar and Vilassar de Dalt on the sumptuous Costa Maresme in Catalonia. Located a short drive from the region's capital city of Barcelona – the airport is about 20 miles away and the city centre around half that – Cabrils is a relaxed place with some great mountain views. The city has a long history and has been permanently settled since the eleventh century at least. Due to the fact that it is also only a few miles from bustling centre of Mataró, Cabrils is popular with city dwellers who want to move out of the central part of Barcelona but still have access to lots of services close by.

The surrounding area is beautiful with plenty of forested areas which are made up of evergreen oaks and pine trees. Like other settlements in the area, Cabrils enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate with mild winters and warm summers. As such, it is not a place that is only suited to holidaymakers – although it certainly attracts them – but a desirable location for permanently settling. The place really comes alive in August when several local festivals are staged in Cabrils, notably one that is dedicated to locally produced food.
